Half-vampire Catherine Crawfield is going after the undead with a vengeance, hoping that one of these deadbeats is her father—the one responsible for ruining her mother's life. Then she's captured by Bones, a vampire bounty hunter, and is forced into an unholy partnership.

In exchange for finding her father, Cat agrees to train with the sexy night stalker until her battle reflexes are as sharp as his fangs. She's amazed she doesn't end up as his dinner—are there actually good vampires? Pretty soon Bones will have her convinced that being half-dead doesn't have to be all bad. But before she can enjoy her newfound status as kick-ass demon hunter, Cat and Bones are pursued by a group of killers. Now Cat will have to choose a side . . . and Bones is turning out to be as tempting as any man with a heartbeat.

Why did I wait so long to pick up this book? It has great (and often funny) dialogue, kick-ass action scenes and of course, it has Bones, who made sure there were some steamy moments to enjoy. Me like!

Cat is a half-vampire, and she despises that part of her because her mother has fed her that she is a monster because she was conceived by a vampire, which resembles the devil, in her mother's opinion. Cat has never really been happy about who she is, and compensates that by taking out vampires at night. One night she runs into Bones - and he's not so easy to take down..

Bones takes Cat in to teach her all sorts of battle techniques and soon her reflexes are almost as good as Bones'. Combine those scenes with snarky and funny dialogue, one hot and steamy vampire hunk, and you've got yourself a very nice start of the Night Huntress series.

For me personally, I loved Bones. He even bumped Eric Northman from the top spot on my list, and I adore Eric. But nothing can really compare to Bones, to be honest. He has a British accent, is funny, dangerous, sexy as hell and those steamy scenes between Cat and Bones? Ooh lala.

Four big fat stars for Bones and Cat and I can't wait to find out about that steamy scene in book 2 that I've heard so much about.. If you're looking for a good paranormal romance series with great chemistry between the two main characters, Night Huntress will be a great start to the series for you!

  2. Oh I'm so glad you liked this one. I have read the first and second book and I'm really upset I haven't gotten a chance to read more of the series because Bones is awesome!

There are some great scenes in the second book and I've heard of even better ones further along in the series.

Can't wait to see what you think as you continue on.

    Thanks for the great review.
