November wrap up

And that's the end of the eleventh month of 2011.. The year is quickly coming to an end and I can't believe how fast time is flying by! November was a crazy month for me. I participated in NaNo (which I won! Yay! Post about that will go up on the 3rd) and spent days and nights writing and typing away on my laptop. Because of the writing insanity, I only managed to read two books in an entire month *hangs head in shame*.

Which brings me to the following stats.. Two books in November added to my total of books read, which means that I have read 118 books so far in 2011. This equals 41,203 pages read so far in 2011. The pagecount isn't going up as fast as I needed it to go up to reach 50,000 pages read by the end of the year, so I think I'll let that goal slip. I'm just not able to read 9,000 pages in one month! (to clarify: that's around 25 books that I need to read in order to make this goal. Yeah. Not going to happen!)

Here's this month's wrap up video :)

November
Dear Mr Potter edited by Lily Zalon
Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost

Started but not yet finished
Partials by Dan Wells
Incarceron by Catherine Fisher (started before November)
Harry Potter Page to Screen by Bob McCabe
Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins

I really liked what I read in November, even though it was only a small amount of books - both finished and not yet finished. I'm hoping that December will be better for me in terms of reading, and I'm sure it will be now that NaNo is over. I will be writing, sure, but not like a maniac like I did in the past couple of weeks.

December will be centered around me trying to read review books, so I can start with a nice small TBR for the new year. Want to join me in lowering your review/TBR pile? Click here for more info.

So what did you read last month? Did you find any gems? Let me know in the comments below, I'm curious to see what you guys read in the past couple of weeks! :)

  1. As you know I recently finished Sapphique, and I really like the series (is there a word for a "series" of two books? Like trilogy?). Hope you'll enjoy the rest of Incarceron. I also read The Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen, which I loved. A very charming and sweet story. If you like a bit of magical realism I'd definitely recommend it.

PS. Congrats on winning NaNo! :)
