[Get Read-y] Third Check-in

In December we get read-y for 2012! We read away those review copies, or those 2011 titles that we still haven't read so we can have a nice and clean start for the New Year! With so many amazing titles coming out in 2012, you might be a little overwhelmed with the amount of books to read.. But fear not! Get Read-y is here to help you lower your TBR pile :) For the introduction post with all information, click here!

It's already the third week of December (how did that happen?) so it's time for the third check-in for Get Read-y! How did you do last week? Did you get into some kind of reading funk because of the excessive reading? Maybe you are still going strong or maybe things are just getting started for you? Let us know in the comments!

I'm still doing okay! In the past week, I've read Hallowed, the second book in the Unearthly series and once again I was completely sucked into the story. It was awesome! I also read Fated, which was completely awesome! I didn't expect it to be that good. That's all I managed to read in the past week.. Christmas shopping ate my time, but that's all done now so I can get back to reading until the weekend! Yay! First up is If I Tell, mainly because I need some sort of paranormal break hah! Plus it just looks really good.

Let me know how your third week went, I'm curious to see how you guys did this week!

  1. Hope you have a bit more time for reading now. With NaNoWriMo finished, I seem to have lots more time (that I must have had before November as well, but I don't know where it went).

So far, I've read 9 of my 11 books for this month. One I'm reading, and one is still on order from the library. I also read 2 books that were not on my to-do list.

I've written 13 reviews so far (my target is going up every time I finish a book!), so all is well, very well.

    Happy reading this week!

  2. Here's my update:

I'm doing pretty well! Only 2 and a half more books! Although my list of must-reads for January is already disturbingly long...

  3. Badly. I am still stuck with the books I started last week. And just one review of a book read some time back.

  4. I'm not doing to well either! I did finish 'Ape House' by Sara Gruen, the first of my library books - but then I went to the library to take it back and, er, checked out another two. Ooops. I'm still plodding along slowly with another couple of books as well, but the shop's suddenly become a whole lot busier as people treat themselves and buy last-minute gifts, and it's thwarted my reading intentions a bit!

Here's hoping for a VERY productive Christmas break, starting tomorrow, woohoo! My hope is that I can get through pretty much a book a day, Christmas Day excepted, so maybe next week I'll have better news to report...

    Merry Christmas, everyone! :)

  5. Read 13 more books! Brings my total up to 38 books read this month. Still at 30 reviews written, though. But I will catch up on them!
