[Get Read-y] My reading list

December has started and this month is dedicated to reading books from your TBR pile or review pile that you'd like to get read before 2012. For more info on the Get Read-y theme month, click here.

Since I'm getting read-y for the new year as well, I thought I'd share my reading list for the month of December, when I try to bring down the amount of review copies I have with an occasional title that I bought myself. Click on the title to go to the Goodreads page.

Planned books to read in December

Depending on how much I read, I might add or remove some titles, but I honestly hope that I can at least read these before we raise our glasses of champagne to toast on the New Year, since I seem to have been accumulating ARCs, almost hoarding them to a big amount of unread Galleys. When I'm done reading the books listed above, I will select new books from the NetGalley titles I currently have or the books I've gotten for review.

In the light of decreasing my immensely big pile of eGalleys I have decided that I won't request any galleys during the month of December unless it's a title that I will go hysterical for in order to get my hands on it. Besides that, I'm on a NetGalley ban until 2012 (I never thought I'd say such a thing!).

Having said that, I'm *very* excited to finally make time for the galleys I have. I tend to dig into paper copies of books more often, so galleys that I got for review tend to get neglected a bit.. *pets galleys* Hopefully I'll also be able to incorporate a couple more galleys each month in the new year :) I started planning for 2012 in November, and I made system for new releases and review copies which should help me read them quicker :)

Do you have a list of books you want to read in December to get read-y for the New Year? Share them in the comments below! :) *nosy girl is nosy*

  1. My list is here: http://leeswammes.wordpress.com/2011/12/02/get-read-y-for-2012-challenge/ It's quite long so I do hope I'll be able to manage that. At least I know what to aim for.

Good luck with your list. You know, when you want a title from Netgalley, here a suggestion: look at it, love it, wait until the next day. If, in the meantime you have been thinking about this book a lot, get it. Otherwise, the book is not important enough.

Good luck getting through your list, I know what you mean by having too many Galleys on your hands!

And thanks for the tip; I'll keep that in mind. I've already become more selective, hopefully this will add to that! :)

    Happy reading!

I'm not entirely sure it's realistic, but I'm aiming high!

Hey, Clover, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children is on my list, too! I'm so looking forward to it! I look forward to your review. :)
