On My Wishlist (17)

In On My Wishlist I spotlight books that I'm really looking forward to. I know there's a meme Waiting on Wednesday and there even are others, but I'm going to rebel and do it how I want it (hehe). I'll feature the synopsis as posted on Goodreads and put a linkie to the Goodreads page of the book. This week: Torn by Cat Clarke.

Torn by Cat Clarke
Expected publication date: December 22nd, 2011

Four girls. One dead body. A whole lot of guilt.

Alice King isn’t expecting the holiday of a lifetime when she sets off with her classmates on a trip to the Scottish wilderness, but she’s not exactly prepared for an experience beyond her darkest nightmares…

Alice and her best friend Cass are stuck in a cabin with Polly, the social outcast, and Rae, the moody emo-girl. Then there’s Tara – queen of mean. Powerful, beautiful and cruel, she likes nothing better than putting people down.

Cass decides it’s time to teach Tara a lesson she’ll never forget. And so begins a series of events that will change the lives of these girls forever...

A compelling story of guilty secrets, troubled friendship and burgeoning love.

In case you didn't know, I really liked Cat's debut, Entangled, and that makes me incredibly excited for Torn as well. She has a way of writing that really sucked me into the story and I hope that this one will do that as well. Even though this title was originally supposed to be published in January , I already preordered a copy in August to make sure I will get it as soon as it comes out. That's how excited I am! And thankfully they moved the publication date to late December! Eeeee! I cannot wait to get my grabby little paws on this pretty. Because let's just face it, the cover is stunning, innit?

  1. This sounds really intriguing.
I've heard good things about Entangled and actually plan to read it someday (along with thousands of other books which are on my to-read list). Looks like I'll have to add this one to my wishlist as well. :D

  2. I think this sounds awesome.
Hoping to get onto a UK tour of this!
