In My Mailbox (53)

Another Sunday, another In My Mailbox! In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi over at The Story Siren where we show what book(ish thing)s we got this week. I had another small IMM - which means I'm doing GREAT in not-buying-as-many-books-as-usual! Woopwoop! Here's this week's vlog :)

For review from Netgalley:
On a Dark Wing by Jordan Dane
Touch of Power by Maria V. Snyder

From Amazon:
A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare
Grimm's Fairy Tales
Dutch Fairy Tales for Young Folks by William Elliot Griffis

I know it's getting old, but I'm proud of myself again this week! (and I might have a job interview soon, so I might actually have money to buy books again in the future :P)  I have a couple of things on the way to me (preorders and two sequels that I ordered) so I'll probably have some more goodies to show you next week.

That's all for me this week! What did you get in your mailbox this week? Happy reading :)

  1. You need No Fear Shakespeare! It's very possible to get the gist of the bard without having ever looked up a word but if you're stuck, this is an awesome resource: http://nfs.sparknotes.com/

I used it for one of his deeply historical plays in my second year at uni and was SO glad I did because otherwise I would have been very confuuuused.

(And don't worry, you'll have a pile of new books from me shortly.)

  4. I've been thinking about reading A Midsummer Night's Dream for a while (actually ever since I read The Iron Fey series), but so far I always put it off again. :D

The other books look really great, too. A lot of people got On A Dark Wing during the past few days, so I might request it as well. :D

    Enjoy!

  8. Shakespeare! Nice. You will get it. It takes a bit to get used to the language of the time, but it is worth it.
