Of course I already own The Hunger Games, but it was really cheap for Kindle and well, I take my Kindle with me everywhere and I don't do that with my boxed set of hardcover books.. It's an amazing series and I want to be able to reread it whenever I feel like it :)
I'm doing pretty good in buying less books, if I may say so myself. Most of the books that I will be getting in October are preorders that I placed in July or even before that. It has a plus side though - I will finally be able to read some of the books that have been waiting for me to read them for a looooong time! It's not exactly a book buying ban, but money is low so I need to be (even more) picky.

I agree that you did really well! I'm in the exact same position, I can't spend too much money on books right now so mostly it's preorders and even some of those I have had to cancel. It's going to be painful having a limit like that every month but I am doing my best.

I just finished Catching Fire. To be honest, I didn't like the first book, The Hunger Games very much.
ReplyDeleteI felt like it was kind of slow, for a book, that should be filled to the brim with action. The main character was hiding way too much throughout the book, when she should have been using her bow and arrow.
I still decided to give the rest of the series a try, since everyone told me it would get better. And I did, I wouldn't say Catching Fire is my all time favorite book, but it was pretty good!
It was intense and kept me on the edge of my seat!
But anyways, enough rambling, I hope you enjoy all of your new books(:
