In My Mailbox (22)

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi over at The Story Siren where we show what books we got in this week. Since I'm on lowbuy, I didn't get in a lot of books, but I'm really excited for them! (Btw, can you detect the theme in the books? xD)

    Jess Day yes!! I'm a massive Eric fangirl so I had kind of an Eric frenzy this week.. I read 6 Sookie books xD Forcing myself to read something else now!

    Love getting new books *squee* I want to say I haven't had any new books in a while, I get a large chunk of my books second hand (love working in a charity shop!), but that's a lie, I had a new one a few weeks ago and reading it at the moment. Definitely nothing better than a brand new book, and yes, I noticed you sniffing The Emerald Talisman ;)

    Nice to know about the Sookie books! I read the first one and it put me off the series a little but I really love the TV show, so I bought the boxset of books 1-10 or 1-9 or whatever, plus the short stories, at Christmas, so I will be reading the rest at some point. As you said, they are very quick reads which is nice sometimes.

    As for the characters - the second one with the brown hair is Sam. I know, totally doesn't match the description but the actor does a good job with the character so eh, can be forgiven. The first one, the blonde guy, I think that's Sookie's brother. Would check my copy for you to be sure but it's wedged in the box behind another pile of books so that could take a while.

    Anyway, nice IMM! I love the Vlog posts, I wish I had a camera and working microphone and the self confidence to put one out but hey ho. Just have to enjoy the others. Enjoy the new books! :)
