Grace is fascinated by the wolves in the woods behind her house; one yellow-eyed wolf in particular. Every winter, she watches him but every summer, he disappears. Sam leads two lives. In winter, he stays in the frozen woods, with the protection of the pack. In summer, he has a few precious months to be human ...until the cold makes him shift back again. When Grace and Sam finally meet, they realize they can't bear to be apart. But as winter nears, Sam must fight to stay human - or risk losing himself, and Grace, for ever.

Grace is fascinated by the wolves she sees in the woods, with the yellow eyed wolf in particular. She watches him and he watches back.

The story is told from the eyes of Grace and Sam. The book alternates between Sam and Grace, which means the story is told from both sides and you get an awesome look in their relationship. Maggie Stiefvater did a wonderful job in describing their feelings and their love, without becoming cheesy.

This story sucked me in completely. I was a complete zombie for 2,5 days and I was actually sad that it ended. Why? Because I wanted more! The story is awesome and I felt with them, not only their love and compassion, but also the longing and the sadness that swept over in some parts of the books.

I loved this book and I was sad to see it end, just because I wanted more. I can't wait til my copy of Linger will come in, so I can continue reading the series.

My overall rating:

I absolutely LOVED it! And I have to say, I love the cover as well. And the font inside the book. The font is an icy blue grey color instead of black. It's subtle, but I love the touch to it - Shiver. Awesome.
