In My Mailbox! (4)

It's Sunday again! That means it's time for another In My Mailbox! I've had an exhausting week, been in bed with migraine for two days and I'm still exhausted from it, but before I landed into bed for almost half of the week, I found a bunch of nice and pretty books! For more information about the meme In My Mailbox, check out The Story Siren.

I walked past an English bookstore after watching Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in the cinema this week, and decided to take a peek, since I had never been there before. I walked in there and it felt like heaven! A ton of books, mostly paperbacks, and all for cheap! I checked Bookdepository before I bought something, and all the books I had seen there were at least € 1,50 cheaper than when buying it in the UK. Win!

I'm sorry I forgot to take the price tags off.. Whoops!

The Book of Tomorrow by Cecelia Ahern. Isn't this a pretty cover? It looks so delicate and sophisticated! The book is about Tamara Goodwin who had always lived in the here and now, never thinking about tomorrow. Until a travelling library arrived in her tiny village, bringing with it a mysterious, large leather-bound book locked with a gold clasp and padlock. What she discovers within the pages takes her breath away and shakes her world to its core (this comes from the backside of the book).
I have a couple of Cecelia Aherns books, I think I'm only missing one now (A Place Called Here) and I'm looking forward to reading this book!

The Dragon Keeper by Robin Hobb. I'm sure I've looked this book up several times before I bumped into it in the bookstore this week, because it was all over my Bookdepository search results haha. Anyway, this is what the backside of the book says: Guided by the dragon Tintaglia, they came from the sea: a Tangle of serpents fighting their way up the Rain Wild River, the first to make the perilous journey in generations.
For Thymara, a Rainwilder born with scales and claws, the return of dragons symbolises the return of hope to her war-torn world. Leftrin, captain of the liveship Tarman, also has an interest in the hatching; as does Bingtown newlywed, Alise Finbok, who has made it her life's work to study dragons.
But the creatures which emerge from the cocoons are a travesty of the dragons of old. Soon, they become a danger to all: it is decided that they must be moved. Far upriver lies the legendary Elderling city of Kelsingra. Perhaps there the dragons will find their true home.
However, if the dragons get there, a band of dragon keepers must be recruited to attend them. None are expected to return, or even survive, but Thymara is certain it's her destiny..
This is the first book in the Rainwild Chronicles Series, the second book (Dragon haven) is already released as well.

Night World, Volume 1 by L.J. Smith. This book holds the first three books, Secret Vampire, Daughters of Darkness and Enchantress. I've been wanting to order the series for quite some time now and I found them for way cheaper than online! I was thrilled to see them lying there on the shelf. From the backside: The Night World is a secret society of vampires, werewolves, witches and creatures of darkness - a place too dangerous to fall in love.

I´ve read the Vampire Diaries, also by L.J. Smith, and I loved that! I still have to get a copy of Stefan´s Diaries: Bloodlust, but I'm waiting for the 'original' black cover to come back because I want the series to look the same in my book closet. I'm weird like that.

Well, that's all for what I got in my mailbox this week! What did you get in yours?
