Harry Potter Film Wizardry by Brian Sibley

On the day that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 shows in cinemas for the first time in The Netherlands, I thought it would be nice to post my thoughts on Harry Potter Film Wizardry by Brian Sibley.

I bought this book on Amazon as soon as I saw it available for preorder. It cost me around $ 21 then instead of the $ 40 that it would cost me when preordering was closed, so for a Harry Potter fan like myself, the decision was easily made.

The book covers the making of the films during the years. It shows pictures of the little Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint when they started filming for the first movie. It has background information on the actors and shows what was the reason behind casting, the character and everything! It shows how the Hogwarts was made, how they created dragons and Buckbeak and it also offers a sneak peek to Deathly Hallows - even part 2! I don't want to tell too much about it, because I think it's nicer to discover everything yourself :)

I had to make myself slow down in reading this and looking to the pages. It's really wonderfully made, with high quality images and pictures of some of the objects used in the films. It even holds some extra's like a programme of the Yule Ball and the Marauder's Map.

If you ask me, this is a must have for every Harry Potter fan out there! I just saw that it's still for sale on Amazon for $ 21.99! If you're outside the US, bookdepository is probably the cheaper option.

You can buy your copy on Amazon or on Bookdepository.
